The Baltic Hotel

Clean and quiet. I was very comfortable. I grew up in this area so that is a plus as well. Front desk, friendly and professional. I would recommend. I would also come back. Nice place to get away and unwind.

As a Brooklyn native, I can say that this place really reflects the vibe of the good old days & definitely played a great part of making home feel like home. Yes, for visitors the neighborhood could be a bit cleaner but that's not the hotel's fault. I was greeted with a very warm hello and every staff member that I interacted with after that was great! I would love a microwave in my room but there was clearly not space for however I did found the downstairs lounge area to be quite quaint. Also, the ease of walking to downtown and accessing a major shopping area & transportation hubs is great! I will say that they need to step up on the cleaning. The shower walls clearly don't get scrubbed.

I had a great stay overall! Service was wonderful and the hotel is located in a quieter part of Brooklyn. My only advice would be to get the AC fixed, because it was not working the entire time I was there, however it was cool enough outside for me to just open a window and that solved the issue. However, with the hot and humid weather fast approaching if I owned the hotel, I'd be rushing to ensure everything with the AC units are working. Anyways, service was great, location is nice and only one complaint.

After booking, I was a bit concerned when I read some of the online reviews. However, I was very pleased with my stay at the Baltic Hotel. I received a room upgrade (which I didn't ask for) which was great. The room was basic as described, but very clean. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. I slept so soundly - the blackout shades were fantastic and the hotel was extremely quiet. The bagels in the morning were as described - fresh and delicious. The area seems to be an up-and-coming area with a lot of construction projects under way. Access to transit was quick and easy. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I really have no complaints at all.

I had read reviews before I stayed at the Baltic and went into it realizing it was a basic room to stay. We only needed a room one night prior to leaving for a cruise out of Brooklyn. Had no issues with the check in process. Front desk lady Christina was nice to us. Room is very small. Only annoying thing was we only had one towel in room so we had to walk down to get another. Also no hand soap so we had to use body wash. Bed was comfortable we actually slept really well. Also AC worked well in our room. The location was an older neighborhood but we felt safe. We walked to dinner late on a Friday night and many people were walking around late. Good location with lots of food options close by.

Honestly for the price this place is perfect. Don’t expect a holiday inn or any mid/high end hotel because you’re not paying for one here. The location is so close to all the joys of Cobble Hill and other great neighborhoods but it is admittedly in a slightly unexpected sort of industrial area. Clean rooms, nice people. I’ve lived in nyc for 7+ years and have used this spot for various reasons and no problems whatsoever - it’s even within delivery radius of most my favorite restaurants. For all those claiming it’s in an unsafe area, a better city for them to visit would be Milwaukee or maybe Cleveland. If yall want a top tier hotel experience with great views and some version of what you’ve seen in movies, pay those ($350+/night) hotel prices

I stayed recently in May 2025 and was honestly very pleased with this little gem in an excellent area in Brooklyn. The week was a very busy one in NY and prices were very high. I managed to book a very competitively priced room in this hotel and was not expecting much, especially after reading some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered a nice large room, although this gave into a busy street, the window is well insulated and this was not an issue. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and they helped every time we asked. The breakfast is good although I'll advise you to attend early so as not to miss out on the lovely bagels. There is a multitude of shops and restaurants close by to suit every budget and taste. Transport nearby is fantastic and the area feels very safe at all times. Thanks to the staff for making our stay a very enjoyable experience.

Despite some of the negative reviews out there, I found the Baltic Hotel to be a perfectly decent place to stay—especially for the price. If you go in with realistic expectations, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean, stocked with ample towels and toiletries, and include a hair dryer. It’s a small, no-frills hotel—there’s no gym, no bar, no rooftop lounge—but the basics are well-covered. The hotel is on a quiet street in what feels like a very safe and walkable neighborhood, with lots of excellent local food spots within 10 minutes on foot. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest subway stations (about 10–15 minutes depending on the line), but if you're comfortable walking a few extra blocks, it's very manageable. In the mornings, there’s coffee and bagels available in the lobby, which is a nice touch, although I found that by 8:00–8:30am, most of the bagels were already gone—so plan accordingly if you're hoping to grab one. Overall, this is a basic, budget-friendly hotel that delivers on cleanliness and convenience. If you're looking for something simple and affordable without the extras, the Baltic Hotel is worth considering.

This was my first time visiting NYC with my partner, and Baltic hotel was just perfect for us. All the staff including Hector were super amicable, and professional. They give us great advice on where to eat around the neighborhood (we arrived before check in time). The room had an amazing view to the city, and it was very clean, the staff at the entry were kind enough to provide my girlfriend with an extra pillow. The cleaning staff and change our bed sheets daily, and they provide fresh towels and toiletries. We have our own fridge and microwave in case we need a late snack. On top of all these, they provide bagels, cream cheese, coffee, and tea from 730 am to 1030 am. We usually get up early, grab a bagel, toast it, spread some cream cheese, and we were ready to explore the city. This help us immensely to skip figuring breakfast This is a perfect spot if you are going to the Barclays Stadium, the neighborhood and surroundings were pretty quiet, peaceful and safe, we were taking the train and walking back to the hotel very late at night, and nothing remotely unsafe occurred. People in NYC were very nice and friendly with us. The bodegas on each corner allow us to get a late snack. Baltic Hotel has become our preferred destination once we go back to visit. Such a nice hotel In town with an affordable price and a prime Location. I must appreciated yhe environment and the breakfast.. And the Easy checkout and checkin procedure. The stuffs were very friendly.. Specially the front desk guy "Abir" was so friendly and Humble.. Such an awesome person.. I would love to stay there again and recommend everyone
